Where to Spot Hotties
Discover where to spot hotties in Barcelona, from specialty cafés and sporty hangouts to dance floors and We Met Here singles events—because attraction is about more than looks.
By We Met Here

The We Met Here Hottie Map. Good plans, interesting people, a little possibility.
You went out for coffee. The coffee was excellent. So was the person ordering ahead of you. Barcelona mornings have their advantages.
And by “hottie”, we mean more than looks. It can be someone’s humour, curiosity, confidence or the way they make you feel included. Sometimes someone becomes much more attractive about three minutes into a conversation.
Where should you go to spot hotties in Barcelona? Try the waterfront for an active day, specialty cafés for coffee, Enric Granados for terraces or Masa for wine. When you want to meet people who have come specifically to meet other singles, choose a We Met Here event.
Start with a scene you actually enjoy. Someone catching your interest is a lovely bonus; your whole afternoon should not depend on it.
Which Barcelona scene is your scene?

Where do you go for coffee and a little curiosity?
Barcelona’s hipster specialty cafés make a good starting point: good coffee, thoughtful interiors and somewhere to enjoy a little time on your own. Choose a place you would happily visit even without a potential crush in the queue.
Federal has several locations in Barcelona, so pick the one that fits your day. Over in Poblenou, Nomad Frutas Selectas, at Carrer de Pujades, 95, combines specialty coffee with food.
Add Flying Monkey to your shortlist for specialty coffee and a breakfast involving sourdough, or try SIP by SIP on Carrer d’Amigó for coffee from a brand with its own roastery. Both give you another reason to explore Barcelona one cup at a time.
If a shared table or a moment in the queue gives you an opening, “Have you tried this before?” is plenty. You might get a pastry recommendation. You might discover someone whose enthusiasm for pastries is unexpectedly attractive.
Someone deep in their book or laptop may prefer to stay there. Enjoy your coffee either way. It did not promise you a boyfriend.
What if your type owns suspiciously good activewear?
Walk from Barceloneta towards Bogatell, or join an organised beach-volleyball session that welcomes your level. Playing together gives “Do you come here often?” some actual context.
For a workout, Barry’s Barcelona is at Avinguda de Pau Casals, 4. Book because you want the class; save conversation for before or afterwards. Mid-treadmill is an ambitious time to ask about somebody’s weekend.
For the beach-and-lunch version, try Honest Greens Barceloneta, at Passeig del Mare Nostrum, 15. You have movement, sea air and food. Already a respectable day.
Where can an afternoon become an evening?
Carrer d’Enric Granados in Eixample suits a terrace-and-wander plan. Plaça de la Virreina in Gràcia gives you another starting point for a slower afternoon outside.
When you fancy wine, try Masa Vins in Poblenou, at Carrer de Pallars, 154, for wine and seasonal food. “What are you drinking?” can lead to a recommendation and, if the interest is mutual, a conversation.
Choose the setting you like. Your version of a hottie might have excellent taste in wine, trainers or obscure coffee equipment. We respect the range.
What if you feel like dressing up or dancing?
Over in El Born, Monk, at Carrer dels Abaixadors, 10, hides a cocktail bar behind a supermarket-style entrance—something to talk about before you have even ordered.
For cocktails that can become a night of dancing, add Boca Chica at Boca Grande, near Passeig de Gràcia, to your shortlist. It fits an evening when dressing up is part of the fun and your first drink might not be your last stop.
When music is the main attraction, try Razzmatazz in Poblenou. Check the programme and choose a session whose music makes you want to stay. A shared favourite track can do quite a lot of the introduction.
For a more dressed-up club night, look at Carrer de Tuset. Twenties and Chica club are another club option in Eixample.
Check each venue’s programme, tickets and entry requirements before choosing your night. A dance floor is a good place for a smile; your life story might deserve somewhere quieter.
Where can you skip guessing who is there to meet singles?
We Met Here hosts singles events in Barcelona, usually on Fridays from 8–11pm. You can come alone. Meeting new people is part of the plan, and our personality quiz gives you somewhere to start.
Your answers place you in one of four colour groups. Pick up your colour sticker, spot people in a similar personality group and ask someone, “What colour did you get?”
Later, the reveal shows your top three quiz matches—the people whose answers were most similar to yours. Perhaps you have already met. Perhaps you now have a reason to say hello.
The quiz gives you similarities to explore. Chemistry gets its own say. You can chat with anyone, whatever their colour, and stay with the conversations you enjoy.
And this is where the “hottie” part gets interesting. Someone makes you laugh, asks a thoughtful question or remembers something you mentioned earlier. Suddenly, you want to keep talking.
A few things you might be wondering
Are these places singles bars?
The cafés, restaurants and clubs have mixed crowds. We Met Here events are specifically for singles. An ordinary venue’s customers are not necessarily single or interested in flirting.
Can you go alone?
Yes. Start with a café, walk or organised activity you would enjoy by yourself. You can also attend We Met Here alone, with the colour game and reveal giving you conversation starters.
How do you start a conversation?
Use what you share: the coffee, the game, the music or your quiz colour. Ask a small question, listen and share something back. If the interest is not returned, give the other person space.
Give your next outing a little possibility
Choose a scene you enjoy, look up from your phone and see who catches your interest.
And when you fancy a room where meeting other singles is already on the agenda, we have a Friday plan for you.
